Don't "work harder." Instead: Cut away distractions. Stop doing fake work. Ask for help. Plan. Solicit criticism. Automate what can be automated. Engage your mentors. Exercise. Get more sleep. Whatever you do, don't "work harder." It's pretty much never the answer.

Ironic to see "cut away distractions" being recommended on twitter (it is true of course, wherein lies the greatest irony)

I recently realized the "founder mode" excuse can actually be detrimental. People glorify looking busy instead of actually being methodical.

Not sure I’m following. What is your definition of hard work here? Is it simply putting in more hours using the same approach without any attempt to do smart work? Smart work is a super power, but the ability to consistently work hard is also a super power. Don’t you think?

Exercise and work are part of the job. It's a corporate responsibility to stay in good health when your health could affect decisions that impact the entire organization.

Harder work translates in to smarter work. Thus allowing for your list above. I believe the times when it is the answer is when you're younger and need to get smarter.
